The Children of war are facing a terrifying situation already traumatised and suffering having witnessed conflict, violence, the loss of their loved ones and destruction of their homes and livelihoods. They are now reliant on aid to survive -and at risk from their fragile health system is under enormous strain and on the brink of collapsing.

We need your support to help rebuild the livelihoods of these children, your generosity and support will help provide life-saving Ramadan Emergency Food Parcels to children and families, suffering in war-torn communities.

While we all enjoy Ramadan in the comfort of our homes with ample food to sustain us each day, there are children all over the world who do not have this privilege. No child should suffer from the long-term effects of hunger, especially in the holy month.

This is the unfortunately reality for many Gazans, Yemeni, Syrian, Sudanese and Lebanese children who are suffering in environments of persecution and war. Malnutrition, waterborne diseases and a lack of safe shelter are the daily dangers these children face.

Gaza:

• 90% of Gazans are dependent on humanitarian assistance. (UNRWA)

• Over 2 million Gazans are food insecure. (UNRWA)

Yemen:

• In Yemen, 80 per cent of the total population, including 12.4 million children are in need of humanitarian assistance. (UN)

• Half of Yemeni children under 5 years face severe acute malnutrition. (UN)

Syria:

• Over 12 million people are in need of humanitarian aid. (WFP)

• There are an estimated 2.8 million IDPs in north-west Syria. 80% of them are women and children.

Sudan:

• Over 15,000 people killed, 11 health facilities destroyed. (UN)

• 11 million people in need of emergency assistance (UN)

Lebanon:

• 3,002 people killed and 13,492 injured, 185 children killed and 1,206 injured among total casualties reported (UN)

• At least 1.3 million people have been displaced, the conflict is putting more strain on an already vulnerable population (UN)
