Across the globe, an estimated 150 million children live on the streets. Abandoned, displaced, or orphaned they are denied access to basic human rights left to face hunger, abuse, exploitation and disease all without protection or legal identity.

Many of these children have no official documents, which means they can’t go to school, visit a doctor or access any form of legal support.

They are invisible in the eyes of society and too often forgotten.

Muslim Hands Street Child Project

The Muslim Hands Street Child programme is designed to help vulnerable children change their lives through simple, effective and compassionate solutions. In a world where legal identification is essential, 850 million people still lack this basic necessity. We aim to change that by providing identity cards to street children in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Mali, and Niger.

Besides just giving out legal documents, this project also includes:

• Comprehensive outreach programs
• Community awareness campaigns
• Advocacy efforts to enhance registration services

These actions are really important for helping people regain their dignity and find a way out of poverty and risky situations.
