In Loving Memory of Safiya

Safiya was a dedicated member of QUB Islamic Society’s committee. She worked tirelessly to help give the Muslim students at QUB a place of belonging and was known for taking part in any opportunity given to help better the wider community.

Safiya was also actively involved in youth groups at Belfast Islamic Centre, where she dedicated her time to supporting young people and helping new reverts to Islam feel welcomed and supported within the community. She was proactive in offering guidance, friendship, and encouragement to others.

Above all, Safiya will be remembered as a kind-hearted, compassionate, and selfless person, a great friend whose warmth, sincerity, and commitment to serving others left a lasting impression on so many people.

The project:

Donate a community water well, an amazing Sadaqah Jariyah that can serve up to 1,000 people, helping provide reliable access to clean water throughout the year.

Built for long-term impact, each well is maintained by a local community committee to support sustainability and care.
